Join Off The Wall for a playful exploration of harness based techniques. Sample their unique dance led approach to merge ground and air based techniques to give you a full 3D experience. Expect opportunities to both learn and play with a mixture of taught technique and creative time to feel the sense of freedom, dancing and flying (as well as your core and body getting a great workout to make it all happen!)

What to expect:

>Vertical Dance (wall running)- sees the dancer suspended from a single point in a climbing harness, from here the possibilities are endless, you can dance, run on the wall, leap, dive and play with the option to connect physically with other movers as you move in and around the shift of gravity.

> Fixed line - also connected to a single point in a climbing harness we focus on the centre of gravity in relation to the floor and our chosen level of suspension- expect sweeping circles of movement, core conditioning, short dance phrases, falling, spinning (optional) and flying through the air.

You do not need aerial experience to take part in this workshop, just a willingness to play!

Who are Off The Wall?

Off The Wall Aerial Dance was founded by Becky, Charlotte and Grace, three dancers and aerialists based in the southwest in 2019. Their work focuses on vertical dance (wall running) as well as other dance and aerial practices and explores the wide range of movement that can be discovered by both floor based and harness based techniques.

They create performances and workshops that embody a sense of empowerment, flight, experimentation and artistry aimed to leave audiences and participants feeling enthused and exhilarated.
